The coal sludge product(coal slime) usually has a moisture content of about 30%, the particle size of less than 0.5 mm, and the heat value of less than 4000 kcal/kg. Therefore, due to the restriction of the moisture content and calorific value, transportation, storage, is very difficult to recycle, which occupied lots of land and polluted the environment.
At present, the feasible method of moisture reduction for large quantities of coal mud is mechanical drying, which is processing the coal mud by the system of large drum coal mud dryer. This kind of coal slime drying technology has been widely used. This technique can reduce water below 13%. The coal is naturally formed during the drying process (form the irregular globular material whose size < 20 mm), and calorific value can be increased by more than 600 kcal/kg.
After drying, the moisture in coal mud has been reduced, and at the same time, the pollution of the surrounding environment of coal mud is solved, which realizing the comprehensive utilization of coal resources, and good economic and social benefits.
