Differences between Rotary Dryer and Rotary Kiln
1. Different length: In terms of length, the ratio of diameter and length of rotary kiln is generally more than 10 m, while that of dryer is generally lower than about 8 m.
2. Different processes: The dryer is working by continuously throwing and scattering the materials through the rotation of the cylinder and the screw lifting plate, so that the materials can be fully heated and dried. The process is simple and the operation is convenient.
The main function of the rotary kiln is to calcine the material and fully oxidize the material, so as to achieve the best chemical reaction and meet the requirements of the production process. It is usually used after the classifier and the magnetic separator in the beneficiation production line.
3. Different uses: Rotary kiln, also known as calcining kiln, or rotary drum drying kiln, is mainly used for calcining raw materials requiring high temperature and changing the properties of materials. For some materials that require high temperature, rotary kilns are generally used.
The dryer is an important drying equipment in mineral processing production. It is mainly used for drying raw ore. It is often used for drying cement clinker, coal powder, slag and other raw materials and can also be used in mineral processing after the ball mill and flotation machine.
