When slime materials contact with the heating medium, surface temperature will continuously rise. Then, water content in slime materials begin to be evaporated.
Slime materials are easy to adhere on the wall of rotary drum, since they are covered with water film on surface. To avoid this phenomenon, you should make these slime materials collide with each other as much as possible. For the falling-rate drying period, it plays the roles of improving the evaporation speed, increasing the surface temperature and accelerating the heat-transfer rate.
After being evaporated during this period, slime materials will have more voids inside. Water content inside can rapidly move to the surface of slime material. Along with the rising temperature, water remains inside will be evaporated. To ensure the drying quality and improving the drying speed, falling-rate drying period is mainly for excluding the adsorbed moisture in slime materials.
